Our Humble Beginning…

LONG BEACH Seafood- Singapore’s leading seafood restaurant and also the CREATOR of the Original and Best Black Pepper Crab in Singapore.

It all started at Bedok Rest House (1946), where LONG BEACH Seafood was then one of the few restaurants that served local food. During that period, locals hardly ate out, except for major celebratory events such as Weddings. Located along the beach, LONG BEACH was frequently patronized by the British Army and soon became a bustling location popular with locals attracted by the sandy beach facing the sea.

The crowds continued to increase with time as word of mouth got around of the delectable seafood served.

Long Beach is also the first restaurant to bring in seafood where initially was never served but has now become popular favourites.

Brought in 20 years ago in the 1980s, these seafood include the Air Flown Live Alaskan King Crab, Razor Clam, or more commonly known as the Bamboo Clam, Abalone Conch, Mouse Cowrie, Tiger Sea Mantis, Geoduck, Robin Triton Clam, Japanese Hokkigai Clam, Alaskan Hokkigai and many more.

Growing in popularity of being the favourite seafood restaurant in Singapore, LONG BEACH propelled itself even further with the creation of our Legendary Black Pepper Crab, which has garnered the attention of not only the locals but of an International scale as well.

With years of continuous effort in providing Exotic and delectable LIVE seafood, the crowds continued to grow and eventually LONG BEACH Seafood became a household name as it is today.

Long Beach Seafood is a local favourite restaurant of Singaporeans, especially to the seafood lovers, when it comes to serving exotic delicacies of the sea. Our diverse variety of signature dishes and Live Exotic Seafood, it is a guaranteed mouthwatering experience for not only the locals and tourists, but for expatriates and foreign diplomats as well.

Long Beach Seafood gained our popularity as the first restaurant to bring in seafood where initially was never served. No effort was spared in sourcing for quality live seafood from all over the world to store in our LIVE seafood tanks. Our limited quantities of the Air Flown Live Alaskan King Crab, Live Australia Lobster, Live Canadian Geoducks and Dungeness Crabs, Norwegian Rose Gold Crabs, Japanese Matsuba Crabs, Scottish Brown Crab and Blue Lobsters, are all restricted according to the availability caused by the seasons. Our Tiger Sea Mantis Shrimps and Live Sea Urchins are also a must-try as they are always in demand.

Our Signatures

At LONG BEACH SEAFOOD Restaurant, our chefs often hold brainstorming sessions in order to create and introduce innovative new dishes which are regularly added to the menu. Some of these dishes that have gained recognition are the Wild Empurau Fish in Thai Sauce, Live Golden Striped Lobster, Scottish Royal Scallop with Passion Fruit Sauce, “Jasin” Styled Pan Fried Rice, Vietnamese Styled “Thai Bhin” Fresh Baby Squid, Fried Crispy Kang Kong with Cuttlefish, Deep Fried Flat Rice Noodles with “La La King” and Claypot Yellow Roe Crab with Vermicelli.

Diners of Long Beach can also look forward to new and exciting dishes that will tickle their taste buds that will be constantly refreshed with cutting—edge dishes.

Our award winning restaurant had the privilege and honour to serve distinguished guests and celebrities, as well as having mentioned by all manner of television food programs and magazines from different countries in different languages. Politicians, Former and current Presidents, Ministers and Head of States, from all over the world including our own, have enjoyed the dishes that we have served.

Internationally recognised celebrities and super stars such as Morgan Freeman, Brandon Fraser, Michelle Yeoh, have also patronized our restaurant. Popular Hong Kong, Taiwanese and Korean celebrities such as Carina Lau, Liza Wang, Charmaine Sheh, Myolie Wu, Wakin Chau, Jay Chou, Rainie Yang, Show Luo, Stephanie Sun, Lee MinHo and Korean Boy Band U-Kiss along with our own local celebrities have been seen dining in LONG BEACH Seafood relishing the deliciously exotic crustacean spread before them.

Multiple award winning music artiste Lady Gaga has also mentioned that LONG BEACH Seafood is her favourite restaurant to visit in Singapore during an interview with the local paper.
